In this project, I intend to substitute the mineral fullness aspect of the object by the intensity of light. The light scattering from the inside can be seen as a reflection effect, like what we see on a lighted star. The mineral effect is not produced by the material itself, but via the combination of this latter and the light, it reveals transparency and different intensities, creating volume effects. I hang the balloons in the style of some of Ken Unswoth’s works. Beyond its functionality of chandelier, it creates a contemplation space. The craft production of the balloons is not an end in itself, but serves some uniqueness, and above all the feeling of star admiration.
